Referral News...

Just to give you an idea of how fast and big the jump in the wait can get. On February 9Th we received an email stating the wait was 34 months. And actually we have been sitting at 34 months for a while now. Which can be exciting because you think you are making some progress. Then yesterday we receive an email with the new referral (wait) time of 37 months. Which puts us at April of 2010.

Hague Accreditation

I am a little behind on the posts but on December 10,2008 our agecny received Hague Accreditation.

Our agency sent this out with our updates this month. I just thought this put to words what I never can. I just really like it.

Due to the depreciation of the American dollar China has requested that we bring more money with us to the tune of a couple more g's. No problem whatever you need. Oh and while we are at it could we go ahead and make it RMB (Renminbi, the currency of China).

Department II The Matching Room

The CCAA has finished the review of March 2007 dossiers and they are now in Department II. We have movement people. Our Dossier was in the March 2007 dossiers being reviewed in the Department I room. What is really exciting is that Department II is the matching room. Yeah! Yeah! This does not shorten the time any at all we are still looking at Feb 2010 at the moment. But it is still exciting to see something happen.

We will not hear anything else on our adoption until they send us a picture of our precious little girl. Whom I am sure is not a KU fan. Just thought I would throw that in there.

Referral News

On November 5, 2008 our agency received 8 referrals for families with a LID of 02/17/06. All of the referrals were little girls from the Jiangxi Province that ranged in age from 8 to 13 months, with one referral being 3 years, 5 months old. The referrals also included one set of twins. These families waited 33 long months from log in date to referral. The families should travel in about 8 weeks.

Our LID is 3/27/2007 we have waited 20 long months now.

More Referral News

The last update we received that said the wait from LID to Referral was 31 months must have been an error. We received another email a few weeks later that stated the wait was 32.

We just received another email that said the wait is 33 months. This would make it December of 2009.

China has said that it could possibly take up to 4 years....we are well on our way to that. Each month a month is added to our wait.

If you want to be realistic about it we will possibly get our baby in 2011. That is if China dosen't decide to shut the whole thing down.
